If you haven't filed your taxes for the past year or years, don't wait for the tax department to catch up to you. I can prepare and print previous years taxes after the annual Efile cutoff date.
If you owe tax for 2015 and do not file your return for 2015 on time, CRA will charge you a late-filing penalty. The penalty is 5% of your 2015 balance owing, plus 1% of your balance owing for each full month that your return is late, to a maximum of 12 months.
If CRA charged a late-filing penalty on your return for 2012, 2013, or 2014 your late-filing penalty for 2013 may be 10% of your 2015 balance owing, plus 2% of your 2015 balance owing for each full month that your return is late, to a maximum of 20 months.
Beginning with the 2012 tax year, I can now Efile past returns, although there is a 2 year cutoff date as of yet.
If you have a substantial amount owing, CRA will generally accept a payment plan which you can remit online or at the bank with remittance forms.

I have been preparing income tax returns since the 1970's and keep a current copy of the Income Tax Act handy to ensure both my clients and myself pay no more than required by law.
Located in Chesterville, I can prepare and Efile your tax return to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) while you wait or you can just drop your T-slips in my mailbox and leave a contact number or email address.
